That stall is common around this metro for Lyriq drivers. Drivers leave Lyriqs in WMATA park-and-ride decks all day. They also park in apartment lots with no home plug. Arlington County and the City of Alexandria show that pattern. So do the District, Silver Spring, Wheaton, and Hyattsville. Older housing is the other local clue here. Takoma Park, Annandale, Wheaton, and Washington have high shares of pre-1980 homes. Those buildings often never got a dedicated charger. The car sits dark overnight, and the 12-volt is what fails.

Newer suburbs sit differently than those inner lots. Ashburn, Gainesville, and Centreville have much newer housing stock. A home plug is more common in those suburbs. A Lyriq in Wheaton or Takoma Park is more likely to live unplugged. That’s why apartment and Metro sits show up first on this car.

Ultium cars can also hang after a long park. A cut-off charge or a stuck update can leave modules stuck. The 12-volt can look healthy while Ready never arrives.
